New Year, Same Me

Happy New Year! And with the new year comes new years resolutions and people saying "New year, new me!" and while I applause people for that determination, I have never been able to do get into that idea of new year, new me. I think I said something similar last year, but I am pretty happy with me. Of course, there are little habits that I want to change but overall...I'm good.

Anyways, onto the outfit! This was taken the day I had a super early brunch with my sister and best friend before my lil sis left (if you follow me on Instagram you would have gotten a glimpse of this already). I wanted to wear something a bit casual, so i resorted to a t-shirt and maxi skirt. Side note, I love this t-shirt from Big Gay Ice Cream Shop in NY. One thing, it has a unicorn on it and it's focused on ice cream (my favorite thing ever). Plus I finally found a black hat that has a huge brim (for all my hair)! This ended up being the perfect brunch outfit, especially with the weather now getting cold. Brrr!

Sleeping Beauty at Downtown Disney

When my friends suggested a Princess dinner, the cosplayer in me couldn't help but take this as an opportunity to do cosplay-lite/Disneybounding. And it was the perfect opportunity to wear this vintage dress I have had for ages...and because I had for ages it was now too big, meaning I had to take it in in about 5 minutes (my quickest sewing job yet) before leaving. But I really feel like this dress captures Sleeping Beauty/Aurora's ball gown (or even Cinderella, but I like Aurora better). Now I just need to perfect Aurora's weird ass bangs... Anyways, I also wore my pink jacket because I want to refer back to Aurora's dress switching between blue and pink.

My friends are also so patience and allowed me to take a bunch of pictures around downtown Disney even thought it was late. I don't think I could ask for better friends.

I hope my fellow Disney nerds appreciate my Disneybounding around Disney because it was quite cold. TTFN, ta ta for now.

I'm back! Sorry for the hiatus, life gets in the way and sometimes you just feel "blegh" and don't feel like doing anything.

When your whole outfit comes from one place, you know that you have a problem. I have been waiting for this dress to go on sale after seeing on two other bloggers, and I gotta say I love it. It may twee as fuck (thank you TLo for that phrase), but I still think it's perfect. I hope to get better pictures of it soon, until then, these will have to do. TTFN, ta ta for now.

You know what's funny, when you are digging through your files and find some pictures from the summer and realize you could probably wear this same outfit in October? SoCal fall weather had been very...summer like.

But anyways, I took these picture in August when I went to the Anaheim Packing District to hang out with my cousin (if you follow me on instagram you would have seen a glimpse of this outfit already). I love the Packing District and the food...so good. The food was so good that I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of it before devouring it.

While many of you reading this may be in real fall, and may be confused about my outfit, all I can say is welcome to SoCal. TTFN, ta ta for now.

Faux Vintage Vibes

Every time I straighten my hair I always want to do vintage inspired haridos and love to wear my vintage dresses and vintage inspired outfits. So, when I went out to brunch with some friends I couldn't help but put my hair in a little victory rolls and pony tails with a vintage inspired top.

Brunch was delicious and the perfect ending for a fun weekend (this was the same weekend I went to the Dapper Day Folly After Party). I kinda miss straightening my hair as often as I used to. Until then, TTFN ta ta for now.

Dapper Day Folly After Party

I'm sure you have heard of Dapper Day at Disneyland, and if you haven't here's a little summary: Beautiful people come dressed in beautiful clothing to Disneyland and spend the day being fabulous. I have always wanted to go to Dapper Day, but have never been able to make it since it is on a weekday. But I heard about the Folly After Party and knew that I had to go! And I am so happy I went! I not only got to dance the night away but wear my vintage dress I got from the Vintage Fashion Expo a while ago, any my Mickey pin from D23! So double success!

But before heading to the after party my friends and I had dinner at the Jazz Kitchen. I love how the Jazz Kitchen is decorated and couldn't help but take a few pictures of the decor (and the delicious souffle we ended the night with).

So, back to Folly...the After Party was set up like a small club above the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney with a main room and secondary room with  a balcony and bars throughout. In the main room was live music from a swing band, and a mellow jazz band in the secondary room for people who wanted to just relax. In the main room with the swing band were some of the most amazing dancers I have ever seen! Watching them dance made we want to dance (and I totally did, my jam is "dancing with myself" because no one is crazy enough to dance with me)! I was totally swept up in the beauty and swankiness of the event and enjoyed every minute of it. Well, until I had to walk back to the car, and my feet were killing me! But I think it was all worth it. I am determined to go to Spring Dapper Day and make my own dress (hopefully inspired by Vanellope Von Sweet from Wreck It Ralph). All I can say is that Disney can really throw a party! Until next time, TTFN ta ta for now.
